It is the mission of Visit Central Florida Sports to promote tourism and economic development through sports.
Visit Central Florida Sports seeks to enhance the economic climate of Polk County through sports and special events.
Visit Central Florida Sports is the only organization in the state to earn both the Sports Organization of the Year award from the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and the Florida Sports Foundation’s Sports Commission of the Year Award. Visit Central Florida Sports has also been recognized as the Sports Organization of the Year by both the Independent Softball Association and Youth Basketball of America

Our Story
Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing – known as Visit Central Florida outside of Polk County – is our county’s official Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB), also known as the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO).
Our goal is to bring tourists, meetings, events and tournaments into Polk County. In turn, those visitors stay at our hotels, eat at our restaurants and shop in our stores. This formula has turned into a powerful perpetual economic dynamo that has not only lowered the tax burden on Polk County residents but improved their standard of living as well.
We’ve also invested heavily in area infrastructure, including improvements to the RP Funding Center and Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, as well as helped fund the AdventHealth Fieldhouse and Conference Center in Winter Haven. These investments have not only helped increase the number of visitors to the county, but also give county residents access to some of the finest sports and entertainment facilities in the state.
