Family Friendly Attractions
LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is the ultimate destination for families coming to Central Florida. The popular attraction is just one of many kid-friendly attractions. The 150-acre interactive LEGOLAND theme park features more than 50 rides, shows and attractions, restaurants, shops, the LEGOLAND Florida Water Park, two hotels, a beach retreat and a botanical garden.
Water Park
From the LEGO wave pool to the interactive water-play structures of Joker Soaker and DUPLO Safari, your kids will soak up tons of fun. But there is more to do than splash and spray at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. At Build-A-Raft River, you can imagine, design and build your own unique vessel before taking it along the 1,000-foot-long lazy river.
Theme Park
For those who would rather stay dry while their creations get wet, there is Creation Cove. Here, kids can build their own LEGO-sized boat and earn boasting rights after racing their creation against friends and family. Rides in the park include pink-knuckle roller coasters, the Imagination Zone, Miniland USA and LEGO® City where youngsters can learn how to drive by freely navigating their own boats and LEGO® cars.
Florida Children’s Museum
Opening November 4th, The Florida Children’s Museum is a 48,000 sq ft wonderland of play, learning and interactive experiences. The museum is situated within Bonnet Springs Park in Lakeland.
Bok Tower Gardens
Kids have their own space inside Hammock Hollow, a 2.7 acre area in Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales. Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden teaches conservation and the vital connection between animals, plants, and people. There is beautiful art, cooling water features, vibrant plantings, a boardwalk, a stage for little performers, and music area. Kids have things to climb on, under and through, as well as places to build, dig and create.
Safari Wilderness
Book a safari tour and see eland, water buffalo, antelope, zebras and more at Safari Wilderness in Lakeland. Many animals walk right up to the bus because they know you’ll have food!
Polk County has plenty of Parks and Playgrounds to explore as well.
Bonnet Springs Park
Opening October 22nd, Bonnet Springs Park will be an incredible new addition to Lakeland will be a 168-acre oasis of nature, entertainment, learning and lots more. Take a canopy walk through the trees, ride your bicycle around the trails, visit the museums and the gardens.
